Having a little bit of trouble on the split jerk. I used to be good at these, but haven’t done them in awhile. I’d appreciate anyone’s comments on how to fix it.

I only need to add about 250 lbs to the bar to compete with these guys:

landing position doesn’t look long enough (front and back foot placement).

I’m sure you know, but that back foot landing with the heel turned in instead of out doesn’t stabilize the midline at all.

Elbows dropped on the 275 failed attempt

all the jerks you see to lock out a bit infront and then you pull it over the traps.

You just need to add 250# to not just the bar but the body too or maybe not (curious to know how much is the highest lifted/bodyweight ratio in a C&J is)

I might be wrong, but you seem to be dipping longer than the ones in the competition video?

Just lift it

I think you need to go to Athlete’s Forum to get it straightened out. They will fix it right away.

Thanks buddy. Come hang out and I’ll buy you a Stella or five.

Speed and shorten that dip up. You are dipping too much and pausing at the bottom. Just quickly unbend the knees and pop it up.

Look at videos of BrozKnows lifters on youtube, particularly Rob and Pat.

Thanks Brian. I’ve heard that from more than one person. It is just so seductive to hang out down there when the wait gets heavy.
